TH-K Color Grout (Wide Joint Type)

Scope of application:
The ordinary type can be used for grouting brick joints with a width of 1~5mm. The wide-seam type can be used for grouting brick joints with a width greater than 5mm and less than 12mm.

The composite type combines the characteristics of adhesive and grout, completing the bonding and grouting in one step, saving one step and saving materials by 30%, suitable for the bonding and grouting of paper-faced tiles below 4.5*9.5cm. It can also be used as an ordinary grout.

Mixing:
◆Pour clean water into a suitable container, then slowly add the grout powder according to the ratio, and stir thoroughly until the slurry is free of undispersed powder lumps. Let it stand for 5~10 minutes, then stir for another 2~3 minutes before use.

◆The water-cement ratio is controlled at about 1:5, that is, about 5 liters of water is added to 25KG of grout. The amount of water used for different models of products is slightly different, and the amount of water can be adjusted according to the actual situation. The consistency of the slurry should be easy to construct, and it should not be too thin or too dry.

◆It is strongly recommended to use an electric mixing tool for best results.

Construction:
Construction methods for ordinary type and wide-seam type:
◆Before construction, ensure that the brick joints to be filled are clean, free of dust and water. Apply the grout to the brick joints with a suitable tool.

◆After the grout has sufficient surface strength, use a suitable tool to drag the seam and press it smooth (this step is very important and can most effectively prevent the grout from dusting).

◆When the grout is on the brick surface, wipe it clean with a wet cloth before the grout is completely dry. For stains that are difficult to remove with water, you can use tile cleaner or acidic substances to clean them.

◆Note: The grout can be cleaned only when it is close to initial setting. The best time to clean is when the grout begins to lose its luster. If cleaning is carried out while the grout is still in a plastic state, some of the grout may be wiped off. On the other hand, if cleaning is carried out after the grout has completely hardened, the surface of the tile may be damaged.
First use a slightly wet hard sponge to wipe off the excess grout, and continuously clean the sponge with clean water. After the grout is completely dry, use a dry cloth to remove the remaining powder marks on the tile surface.

Composite construction method:
◆Clean the base surface and remove dust, grease and other substances that are not conducive to bonding. The base layer and facing materials do not need to be moistened with water, and the bonding surface of the facing materials should be kept clean.

◆Priming: First apply a layer of 0.5~1mm of this product slurry on the base surface.

◆Apply the slurry to the back of the paper-faced tile with a suitable tool, then press it firmly against the wall, align it, and scrape off the slurry squeezed out from the corners. The construction process should ensure that the surface is fully filled with slurry.

◆After 0.5~1 hour, when the slurry has a certain strength, tear off the paper and clean the brick surface with a slightly wet cloth.

◆Use a suitable tool to drag the seam and press it smooth (this step is very important and can most effectively prevent the grout from dusting).

◆After a period of time, clean the remaining slurry on the surface of the decorative material with a wet cloth, and clean the construction tools.

Precautions:
◆Do not construct in the rain, and avoid rain within 48 hours after construction.

◆This grout does not require water curing and should not be washed with water before the grout has sufficient surface strength.

◆Any printed color samples provided by our company are for customer reference only and shall not be used as acceptance criteria. There may be slight variations in each batch of actual products. Please use the actual sample as the standard when selecting products. This product may stain the tile surface, especially tiles with rough, loose, porous, and highly water-absorbent surfaces, and various natural stones and marbles. During construction, strictly follow the operating requirements specified in the instructions for timely cleaning. If necessary, conduct a local test first. Our company shall not be liable for any damage caused by improper operation. During construction, strictly follow the process of filling and smoothing the grout as specified in the instructions. Our company shall not be liable for any loosening, falling off, or dusting of the grout due to improper operation.

Usage: The amount of grout depends on the size and thickness of the tiles and the width of the brick joints. The theoretical calculation formula is as follows:

Kg/m2=1.85*(tile length+tile width)*seam depth*seam width/(tile length*tile width)

Composite usage: about 6Kg per square meter (calculated at 3mm thickness).

Usable time after adding water: about 2 hours, final hardening time: 72 hours
